IT support for farms & agriculture

IT support that understands rural connectivity, tractor cabs and end-of-year accounts.

Overview

Why farms & agri in Lincolnshire come to us

Lincolnshire runs on agriculture, and farm IT has its own rules. Broadband is patchy, mobile signal disappears behind a hedge, and half the year the office is a laptop on the passenger seat. We put in the boring things that actually make a farm run — a stable connection to the yard, cloud accounts that don't lock you out at harvest, and backups that survive a lightning strike on the router.

What we solve

The specific problems farms & agri tell us about

Rural connectivity

FTTP where it's finally available, bonded 4G/5G where it isn't, and mesh Wi-Fi that reaches the workshop, the grain store and the farmhouse from one plan.

Field-ready access

Sage, Xero, Farmplan, Gatekeeper and Muddy Boots working reliably from the tractor cab or the market — with proper multi-factor authentication, not shared passwords.

Grant & subsidy paperwork

Secure access to RPA, Defra and NFU portals, and files organised so an inspection or a subsidy claim doesn't turn into a two-day scramble.

Estate & diversified income

Holiday lets, farm shops, weddings and rural offices supported on the same account as the main farm — one team for the whole estate.

What's included

In your farms & agri support plan

  • Bonded broadband and 4G/5G failover for the yard office
  • Long-range Wi-Fi across sheds, stores and outbuildings
  • Cloud accounts (365 or Google Workspace) with MFA and mobile-friendly access
  • Secure remote access for the accountant and agronomist
  • Backups for accounts, records and photos — off-site and tested
  • Kit that will survive dust, damp and the odd tractor knock

Signs you need us

If any of this sounds familiar…

  • The office loses the internet whenever there's a heavy shower
  • Nobody knows where the last three years of accounts actually live
  • Everyone's sharing one Gmail login for the farm shop
  • Backups have been "running" for years but no one's ever restored one
  • The main computer is a Windows 7 machine in the corner of the boot room

FAQ

Questions farms & agri ask us before signing up

Do you support farm accounts software?+

Yes — Sage, Xero, Farmplan Business Manager, Gatekeeper, Muddy Boots, Herdwatch and the usual suspects. We support the hosting side; your agronomist or accountant stays in charge of the numbers.

What can you do about bad broadband in a rural village?+

Usually more than you'd think. We combine SoGEA or FTTP where it exists, add 4G/5G failover, use directional antennas where signal is thin, and mesh Wi-Fi across the outbuildings.

We're a small family farm — is this overkill?+

No. The tools scale down. Even a single-user farm office benefits from proper backup and MFA on the bank login — those two things alone would prevent most of the scams we get called about.

Can you help with cyber security for RPA and Defra logins?+

Yes. We put MFA on those accounts, use a secure password manager, and keep an eye out for phishing emails pretending to be from Defra or the RPA — which we see a lot of.
